The site just south of Paris is quite a good example to visit for the first time, providing your navigation skills are up to it. I have seen several single women there, of all ages, the average being perhaps 40+ to 80 years old. They have a large swimming pool (bit chilly for me unless its a hot day), sauna and turkish bath (steam room). There is a restaurant and space to walk and explore.
Nobody would blink an eye if you had clothes on or off.
The parking is on grass without markings but with electricity if you wish.
We tend to spend a night or two when travelling past the area, but you could easily spend longer and perhaps catch transport into Paris for a day out.
They also have tennis and I am sure other amenities. It is a fairly large site.
Take the plunge, people are the same with or without clothes... I just hate swimming with a costume on.

... sounds like the question a mugger might ask!

My wife carries it in her purse. Which is something else I do not carry.

Mejannes le Clap is pretty good - quite large and the riverside pitches obviously are very sought after.

Good facilities. Shop on site. Cheese seller visits one evening a week - also wine seller.

Be aware of Ran du Chabrier on the other side of the river, unless you like that sort of site. If in doubt Google for more info.

Hi Jim

If you mean Le Moulin de La Ronde at Vatan, then yes, we were there for a night last week.

It makes a good stopover for a night or more. The toilets and washing facilities etc are good - there's a new block in the camping field. It is very handy for the nearby autoroute.

We thought it a touch expensive at 20.50 euro for two plus hookup, but the price will be lower from 1 September. But it was very convenient for our stopover on the way south and we would stay there again. We arrived early in the day so we could enjoy the sun in the afternoon.

Should add, we met a British couple who stay there a few nights every year, because they like the peace and quiet.

Our visit to the Dordogne in July nearly saw us on a naturist site.

I had contacted brother in law to see if there were any vacant pitches on the site that they were on, unbeknown to me it was a naturist site.

Dozens of empty pitches he told me due to th epoor weather, but added that I would not need many clothes as it was a naturist site.

My phone was on loudspeaker, I looked at Lady p`s face, without even opening her mouth I could see th eword NO written all over her face.

In short I supose to expose Lady p`s soft curvy Rubenesque physique to my brother in law may have been better than her sister exposing her Lowryesque body to me.

So we stayed a few miles away.

When we did meet up they were complaining that all the occupants on site were wearing jumpers and shorts as it was cold. Or worse still raining.

Dedication for you.
