Someone asked about the sea temperature in the Gironde region.
I am not a happy bunny in a cold sea but three years ago at Euronat they were having a heat wave and I certainly went into the sea on that occasion, almost up to my knees.
For those who know the area the sea at El Portus near Cartagena is just about warm enough for me to get wet in. Have to wear my crocs as the pebbles hurt my toes. Now who is a wuss?

Which reminds me - some years ago I had a horrible jellyfish sting at El Portus - thank god it was on my arm!!

The only occasion that made me wonder about the advisability of swimming in the buff.

One of our favourite sites - well worth a look. And yes, I kept my crocs on too!

Near my home village in Fife, there is a section of "Shell Bay'" dedicated to naturists. It's on the coast line that runs from Lower Largo to Elie.

A few years ago an elderly lady from Lundin Links was walking along the coast collecting firewood. She saw this chap coming toward her and realised he was completely naked. By way of making contact, the chap looked at all the wood she was carrying and said, "Good morning, I see you're very heavy laden." The lady replied, "I see you're rather heavy laden yourself!"

Made me smile when she told me.

I use this to plan all my away trips.

You will not be dissapointed with any of these on a nice warm summers day and Morfa in Wales is as good as anything in South West France given the weather.

Never to crowded either

South Wales as a Naturist

I have heard what can happen to monkeys when they get cold and the sea around the Gower may look inviting but so do Tigers (bay?)

Don't anyone consider it in New Zealand.

The sun will fry your skin for a start. I am quite dark skinned and I don't burn - but I did there, and could feel it frying my arm as I drove the car.

The water looks really inviting doesn't it? Read up a bit on the Humboldt Current before you consider a swim. I never realised ankles could turn prussian blue in a quarter of a second!!

Sandflies!!! Take it from one who has had bites on the ankle . . . you DO NOT want them in more tender places.

A serious post - applicable to clad or unclad beach lovers.
