still more myth than sensible information.

Skinny dipping, yes, great if you like swimming.

All over sun tan....not a good idea. I'm seventy-one and the only bits of my body that has wrinkles are those parts that have been exposed to the sun, i.e. face arms and legs. I don't have to tell you about the detrimental effects of the sun on sensitive skin.

For a developed man or women jumping about with no protection to to our wobbly bits can not only be painful but potentially damaging too.

And thats about all that the linked site was on nbout.

I'm not signing anything.

The two impulses in travel are to get away from home, and the other is to pursue something - a landscape, people, an exotic place. Certainly finding a place that you like or discovering something unusual is a very sustaining thing in travel.

I'm not a naturist as such but there is nothing quite like lying in the warm sun on a beach after skinny-dipping.

It seems very natural if there are others doing it as well.

I did my best.

I want to die quietly in my sleep like my Uncle did. Not screaming and shouting like his passengers.

And there I was, thinking to myself, "That young Pippin isn't a sheep, even though he lives in Wales!"

Baaah to you Zeb!

I am not suggesting others follow (birthday?!) suit right now - it's perishing out there!

Even on the Costa Cambria.

I'm beginning to think this thread is a wind up, I asked in the 3rd post what the attraction is, we are now onto page 3 and others have also asked what it's all about, but no responses from those who are naturist so far.

I suspect the real Naturists are keeping out of the thread and are sat back tutting and rolling their eyes at our schoolboy "carry on" attitude to their pastime (hobby, habit?? whatever).

Ill have a go at anything once (several times if it feels good). My first visit to a nudist beach was when I was just 16 on a Cricket tour. Me and my pal who was 17 were the youngest on the tour and you have to remember that back then (1982) we didn't have the internet so suddenly been able to look at real women was a big thing for us (literally). All we wanted to do was put our shades on and ogle woman (usually while lying face down). I still feel the same now and Im 47. They say its all natural and in no way sexual. Maybe for some but lets face it. If they look like the women in TM's photo (although maybe not circa 1976) any blokes going to ogle.

Or maybe its just me?

To answer those questions, there are quite a few Naturists in this thread.
They seem tolerant and do not pass judgement on anyone else.
They only want to share their good experiences with anyone willing to listen it seems.
If you read the thread carefully you should be able to decipher what their values are and indeed who they are.

Well as a confirmed naturist, must say I do enjoy reading all the banter on here once a thread on the subject gets underway - it's certainly entertaining.

I think there are already plenty of posts elsewhere in the naturist section on MHF, where folk have explained why they enjoy the lifestyle. Some have even alluded to their personal pleasure in this thread.

Naturists are just ordinary people choosing not to wear clothes when the weather and circumstances are appropriate. Their activities are no different from what many people choose to do in their leisure time, other than the dress code.

What better way to 'get back to nature' than using the van to visit places and events. Nudefest, happens to be a successful annual summer gathering organised by British Naturism for members (and non-members) of a similar persuasion, to get together, socialise and have fun.

As an aside, I just got hold of the English-language edition of a 2013 naturist holiday guide published in France, which offers 816 destinations to stay. Seems the French are equally enlightened about naturism as they are about motorhoming.

Mike

PS Sorry barryd, no tutting or rolling of eyes, just smiling.
