Filling the propane tank

So here is the problem:
Here in the Canary Islands where I live they only sell propane in tanks.
They don't fill it in with a hose like they do in other countries.
Thing is my Rv already comes with a big propane tank.
Now everybody adviced me to take the tank off and put the little one in it.
But my question is.
Is there a way to pump gas from the small tank to the big tank in my rv so I don't have to mount and unmount tanks each time I need to refill.?
Like is there a device that can SAFELY pump the gas into the large tank?
I need the propane for hot water

I'm guessing there must be a commercial unit that services all these small bottles on the Canaries? I doubt they ship to the mainland for that.

We have a Flogas depot here in Belfast and they have a pump, just as you require, on their forecourt which the public can use.

Basically LPG is a liquid and will flow/drain down to the lower tank. But I have heard of people supporting a portable gas cylinder up-side-down connected to the empty RV tank and fluid flowing. But I don't know how reliable this method is.
I personally think in your situation I would disconnect the gas supply pipe from the onboard tank and connect it via another regulator to the van.

You must be able to buy GPL on the Canaries. There are companies converting vehicles to run on it. Here: http://glptenerife.es they'll know where the pumps are. That's Tenerife. Here's Gran Canaria https://gasolinabarata.info/gasoline.../gran-canaria/

Cepsa have a policy of introducing GPL pumps to the Canaries. https://www.abc.es/espana/canarias/a...9_noticia.html

https://www.cepsa.com/es/prensa/nota...a-en-Canarias#

"en las Islas son la nueva flagship de Taco (Tenerife) y las Estaciones de Siete Palmas y Gando (Gran Canaria), que cuentan con depósitos especialmente adaptados, de 6.500, 6.150 y 5.000 litros de capacidad, respectivamente."

Cepsa do maps which can be picked up at Petrol Stations here in Spain. They may do one for The Canaries as well. If not doubtless they email you the details of the stations they have going so far. I'd expect the converter to know too though.

Scroll the map here to The Canaries: https://www.mylpg.eu/stations/spain/#stations

They list 18 GPL Stations.

I'd like to know how your rv is registered. There's no chance of registering an American van here in Spain. No European paper work showing approvals and it's too wide.
