We're buying a 2005 Compass Avantgarde. It seems great apart from some rippled wall coverings (wall paper) inside. Does this usually suggest damp?
It's by the door and below a window...
Do you mean there's wallpaper that has since rippled (maybe damp) or is the wallpaper design a rippled effect and you're just wondering why it's there?
Hi Thanks for your reply. It's a wall paper/covering that's become rippled. We've got the van now and it has had damp work done a couple of years ago so no real worry hopefully. But from a visual aspect just wondering the best way to remove the existing and recover it with new wall vinyl or just leave it.
As you've bought the motorhome, my suggestion is to buy a damp meter and check the area yourself.
There's no need to stick the pins in the walls (marking them) but pull back the door and wall rubbers and check there first.
