Hi all, I've just bought my first Hobby Van motorhome having had a caravan for many years but, after all this bad weather, it won't start! Ive looked at the manual and, it seems the battery is under the seat, is this the starter battery? I've had it on charge, or so I thought, all day but it's still flat. Any ideas please?

Yes more information please on model and year. Can you check/see if the engine battery is showing plenty of volts on the panel over the door?

Personal Aire
Check the battery is first, then if it will not turn over at all check the starter, if will turn over but not fire check if the immobiliser is in operation.

Are you sure the charge is getting through ?

Check the voltage at the battery terminals it could be that you are charging the wrong battery. It could also be that the battery will not take a charge - how old is the battery and has it gone flat before ?

So yet more things to check I am afraid.

May need a mechanic or AA /RAC to check such things... if you are a member....

Remember Jo Cox and what she stood for.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.
