Off again on the third trip.

Just about ready for the off tomorrow, Ive been busy all day doing silly little jobs that take an age, also went to collect my watch after having a new glass put in, what a price, it took a week and cost 25.
I saved a lot of money getting 82 ltrs of diesel from Poland 1.17 a ltr. In German 1.43.
I thought I was going crazy when I couldnt find 2 pairs of Jeans, if I look in the wardrobe once I looked 4 times on the 5th time I found them behind my coat.

Tomorrow heading towards Rheinland Pfalz to Heike, Its 650km so I will stop half way for the night at the airfield I stayed at in June, plenty of room there and ideal for Motley.
Ill be staying with Heike until Thursday and then we head north with her as my co-driver.

We are going to a funeral on Monday so tried to find my funeral type black trousers. After looking in all wardrobes and cupboards more than once finally found them under the blazer I wear at funerals.

Ray.

The FSA formerly SIB & PIA licensed a twice convicted fraudster to handle our lifes savings. Guess what? He robbed us of 750,000. So they changed their name again to the FCA.

Glad to hear the big summer trip continues although I have not quite caught up with the last leg yet! I dont think I have ever been cut off so much from the outside world as we have on this adventure. Good points and bad about that but mainly good.

We will have to have a proper catch up at some point! Enjoy this latest leg and say hi to Heike for me.

I am heading south Jean, to Heike first in Rheinland Pfalz, but still a Long way from the Tunnel.

Ive been awake since 4.30, dozed on and off until 5.30 opened the curtains and I cant see further than the bottom of my garden, its thick fog. Yesterday morning it was clear and a lovely morning. Its nearly 7 oclock and I still cant see any further.

Time to get up, Ive had a cuppa in bed and answered you on two threads, read a few more so now just shower etc. Breakfast put fridge thing in the van, take Motley for a walk and hopefully be away before 10 oclock.
No more forum until tomorrow when Im at Heikes.

To those touring like Jan touring over there. Do you see as many cross border vans as you used to? Has touring returned to pre pandemic levels of our continental cousins?

I am with Heike, left the Flugplatz ( little Airport) at 6.30 this Morning and arrived here at 10. 20 clear Autobahn only road works, of which there are many, held me up. 247 km.

Do you mean foreigners Dick. We are packed with vehicles from all Fr departments and other European vans. Can't get in the car parks today.
