Gas bottle shortage warning

Just picked this up from FB, worth checking if you’re in need and planning an outing.

“Just a quick cautionary note for you to think about before the glorious 12th.
I am a warden in the south west and cannot get a restock of calor gas, and have been trying for over a month. I haven't any stock whatsoever, and I am not the only one.
This could apply nationwide, so check before you travel as you may have better supply near where you live.
Don't get caught out, and looking forward to the start of the season.”

'South-west of where?

NI, ROI, England?

Is it just an Irish shortage?

People have been worried about LPG stations closing but if there is shortage of gas in both supplies is it a plot to force people onto campsites to use EHU?

If it's possible that it could be nationwide and it's in the south west I think tells me which country it's referring to.

Brexiters. It's your sh1t now. Whatever happens nationally and internationally you own it. I wish you luck. I think you're going to need all you can get and then some. Friday 13th December 2019.

Correct Alan never crossed my mind that it would be anywhere but England, the fact that the FB group concerned was very much a majority English group perhaps reinforced that for me. We’d also never refer to Kerry with that description.

It is becoming clearer now, but I could not have known that the south-west of ROI is not referred to as the south-west, nor that 'nationwide could not refer to the Irish nation, but I have learned. I did not know of the membership of the FB group since it was not quoted and I am not on it.

From the Calor statement it is now clear that the shortage is shortage of bottles not as I had thought from the FB quote in the OP a shortage of gas. Maybe some people are not returning empties or the drivers are not working to collect them.

I'm not particularly surprised to hear that you were not aware that Ireland is not one nation, though talk of reuniting it does come up in the news from time to time.
