So, where are you going first?

With an end of lockdown announced, where are people going to the minute they can?
I was informed that we "should go" and visit the Peak District. Been only ever once, any good site suggestion/wild camp suggestions?
Really interested what people on her think

I think we will hesitate until at least September as my wife wants to get back to UK and see her family again.
I would be happy to not go anywhere until December and hope to make Portugal this time.

Ray.

I'll be going the other way as it were. To London, I have lived most of my life in rural isolation in an area of great natural beauty. I have always visited London 4/5 times a year for between a couple of days and a week at a time and usually have a full programme. In the last 13 years it's been easier (and cheaper) as I have a married daughter there now. BUT I haven't been there since Feb last year and am missing it.. Armed with my jab I will be there as soon as possible and hoping that enough diversions are open.

Peak District is good. I prefer the softer southern part the "high peaks' are a bit dark and foreboding in any weather than sun shine. I'd choose a base near Bakewell tarts are nice and not at all like the commercial ones, Buxton is also an interesting town, an old Victorian resort.

I'm thinking I might go somewhere down the centre of Ireland as I'm guessing the coast will be choc-a-bloc. Although I might have to restrict myself to the North till the jabs are rolled out in the south.

Just booked ahead for a couple of trips to Kent to see new Granddaughter. On our bucket list, however, is a trip to the Western Isles. I kept Eriskay ponies (very, very rare breed) for a while and would love to see the Island of Eriskay where they were first discovered. Don't think we will make it this year due to the self build we are doing.

I'm hoping we make it out of blighty if Julie gets at least a month off. She wants to go to Croatia and who am I to argue. At least I can visit family on the way. Haven't seen any of them in two years. If we are able to go abroad this year, have any of you got plans?
