Hi all. I'm in Spain for the winter. Where are you all?
Currently just East of Valencia and looking to move further down the coast to find some Brits.
The Spanish are great. However, nothing beats a chat with your fellow countrymen.

There have been far fewer reports of people "heading South for the winter" this year, perhaps because of CoVid and the high levels restricting unnecessary movement, perhaps because of the B word meaning you are now only permitted for 90 days in the Schengen area out of 180, so your stay is limited.

Of course, other Brits may not be advertising where they are, simply because they do not WANT nice little chats in order to protect themselves from "nasty little bugs".

Sorry, that is not helpful but welcome to the forum as well, I hope that you enjoy yourself, wherever you happen to be. Presumably you have sorted out things like a Green Card that is now required ?

If it's Brits you want go to Camposol just south of Alhama de Murcia. Camposol has a central commercial area. It's very English.

You'll find all the Brits you can handle living there and in the Panoramica Golf Resort ay Condado de Alhama between Camposol and AlHama de Murcia. The Golf Resort is open to non residents.

For some reason I've never understood Camposol though really quite large and shown on maps is not named as Camposol on most.

You may see some of the businesses called Camposol this or that but no town name I don't think.

When I read the start of your post I thought it was going to be a joke, the people I know who usually winter in Spain didn’t attempt to this winter because they didn’t want to risk being stuck there during the pandemic, I do suppose you know about that and that the U.K have left the EU and travel is no longer as free and easy as it was before Dec. 31st.

I’m sure as soon as things return to somewhat normal, the usual people will return for their quota of days. I for one hope I’ll visit Spayne for the first time when we have the all clear, Hopefully it won’t be to long because I don’t have time to waste, although I could waste as much time as I like floating around the continent, I’m not restricted 😀

I wish they'd open all the borders soon so we can bugger off for a couple of months. Need to see my mother who is now 86 as well as my brothers. Been 2 years now.

Yes i think we all feel a bit caged, our 5 months in Spain were lost to us last year.
Whilst I might get my vaccination this year, my better half will likely be many months after me, even 2022.

Oh well, just lucky by all staying healthy I suppose.

Terry, Terry, did you have to remind me of that? I'm due the dreaded jab in March/April but Julie won't get hers until August or September. She actually wants the shot as she has been seriously ill and doesn't want to take a chance.

As far as I understand it at the moment, Brits aren't allowed into France and Germany unless the have some reason, whatever that means.
