Anti-fog lights issue

Hi!
I drive Peugeot J5 Hobby 600 and it has been driving ME crazy for the last few weeks. There is an issue with my anti-fog front lights. When I turn the engine off, close the car they pop back up! How? I have no idea because it was always necessary to start the engine and have key in the ignition to turn them on. Now they pop by themselves and I have to unlock my car, open the driver's door and close them again. I went to a friendly workshop but they have no idea what causes that glitch, and everything seems to be in order. Can anyone help me? What can I check or exchange to make it go away?

I am Chris and I work for 24 hour alarm monitoring Shepparton.

I, too, have no idea but will ask some questions for others to help. Are the fog lights on when you leave the van and just don't switch off when you lock the van? How long have you left them on to see if they do go off eventually? Are they a manual switch or automatic? If manual, have you had them on for driving?

Perhaps the members of this FB group would be able to help?

What on Earth are “Anti-fog lights” ?? And where do they “pop up” from?? Are they like the headlights on early Mazda MX5’s where they are flush with the bonnet line and pop up when switched on??
erneboy and patp like this.

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, it’s in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with

I think there might be some words or phrases that may not have translated quite as are used to them.

Surely "anti-fog" simply means lights used when conditions are foggy to improve visibility ?

"Pop up" means they come on after everything else has been switched off ?

Look at the Gentleman's username and I suspect the fog lights will help you see more clearly what he is trying to find out......

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

Perhaps, but maybe not. His signature says "I am Chris and I work for 24 hour alarm monitoring Shepparton."

Like Ploddy I wondered. Lights that prevent for would be very useful I must say.

Brexiters. It's your sh1t now. Whatever happens nationally and internationally you own it. I wish you luck. I think you're going to need all you can get and then some. Friday 13th December 2019.
