Booking the tunnel

We are booking the tunnel

For the beginning of May

We haven’t a clue where we are going as yet

Fingers are crossed that cancer doesn’t get in the way

The hound from hell will travel with us

His last trip, who knows

He is looking decidedly well at the moment

And alberts hand has healed

When he fell over him and was bitten

And he’s always been a hound from hell

I doubt he’ll change now

No need - just toss a coin when you disembark.... Right or left?

Much more fun that way!

That's good news, Sandra. It is lovely to have something to look forward to. Once booked you can always change the dates.

Sounds like enough of a plan to me, Sandra - hopefully leaves you with enough time to master your trike before you go 😀. We too have booked Eurotunnel (outward only) for the end of this month - no idea where we are going yet, but that’s part of the joy for us.

I hope it all goes well for you 🤞🏻

Regards,
John

If only I could think of an original, witty signature . . . this is where it would be . . .

I have just been onto the Eurotunnel website for prices for a ski trip in March only to notice that the web site has changed and is now asking for length of camper but also it had the following warning :-

If your van is carrying commercial goods, dangerous goods, or is over 3.5 tonnes (AGW) please get in touch or book using our freight site

Tried ringing freight number but they are only open during office hours , the freight website price is approx £100 dearer than normal camper prices

Should only be of concern if you ARE carrying goods for commercial purposes. We booked our 8.5 metre 5 ton Frankia recently and the question about length is ONLY to help them plan capacity.

Looks like you don't have to be carrying dangerous good - just be over the 3.5T. Tho I'm not familiar with the AGW.

No, I still believe it is just aimed at vans - not motorhomes or coaches etc.
I’ve made it say something different by placing my own emphasis on what they’ve written. My interpretation is the correct one based on a conversation a couple of weeks ago with one of their booking agents (we were using Tesco vouchers for our crossing, so had to phone them).

Regards,
John
