Gas generator

Hans is looking with great interest at a gas generator.
Does anyone have one to give advice?

Hi Jan, When we bought our first motorhome in 1993 we also bought a Kawasaki petrol generator which I converted to gas. Throughout the years it travelled with us and served us well, never let us down and most important than anything else, we always had 240v of electricity no matter where we were.

In our 23 years of motorhoming it was never out of the van, in fact we still use it in the garden. I realise it is not exactly what you are after but at only a fraction of the cost I would say it is the best accessory that we ever bought.

The downside is that Kawasaki discontinued manufacturing them quite a few years ago, but I'm sure there are others about.

I wouldn't buy a built in one till you've been in a van which has one Jan. I had one demonstrated to me and thought it a good deal noisier than our set up which was similar to Drew's only we had a Honda converted to gas.

Whats that thing that Sandra (Aldra) has Jan? Seems pretty clever. Dunno if its gas or diesel.
