M26 closed nights for a week

.... Apparently, in the Guardian. Closed at night for surveys with a view to being used as a lorry park.

If you're heading for the boat or the tunnel through the night, check it out.

Yes that's correct. The no deal that won't happen and the consequent massive queues of lorries that also won't happen need a place to park even though it won't happen.

So may be the survey that's not needed because it won't happen just won't happen....

Europe. We're not out till we're out. Until then we're still in. Mind you out is looking a lot like in but with less benefits!!!

Odd that it’s only being reported in the very ANTI-Brexit Guardian isn’t it??

I do question what will actually BE surveyed, it certainly won’t be traffic volume because it will be shut. As for anything else well there will be copious amounts of “As built” drawings and plans of the entire road and infrastructure. Therefore any physical survey will only tell them what they already have knowledge of, bizarre or what??

Maybe it’s “Fake News” ?

It's who you share the journey with (even if it’s in a caravan!) I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with

According to Highways England the closure is for barrier repairs: https://www.traffic-update.co.uk/motorways/m26.asp

Possibly a bit of spudling going on.

Dave.

If the information is available on the Highways England website (and clearly it is) it doesn’t show the Guardian’s investigative journalistic skills in a particularly good light does it?

The local MP thinks it's for a lorry park.

Well, if it's in the New European then of course it's right.

I doubt they'd invent a quote from an MP Peter. You could have checked.

Anyway I've done it for you. Doubtless Sky are remainers too?

Why bother to introduce the brexit divisions to the forefront yet another thread if you believed it Peter?
