ACSI books - when do they usually arrive?

We have ours ordered from ACSI directly and need them to go to Spain early in Jan.

I seem to recall threads in previous years around this time...

Can folks update this thread when they start to arrive please?

They claim to get them to you before Xmas as long as you've ordered by a certain date and I can't remember when that is! If on a recurring membership you should be ok.

If you call them they are very helpful and speak English! (Of course they speak English! They're Dutch!!!!) The number is on the website, Contact Us or Customer Services.

I kind of muffed up a little. I had forgotten that I had them on recurring membership when I ordered them last year so went ahead and ordered them again for next year. I then had my recurring membership reminder through which I cancelled...

Either way they were ordered back in the summer so fingers crossed as having to get my 20yo to post them on to the camp site in Spain will be a right palaver!

If you download the ACSI app onto your tablet phone etc then all you will need is the code off the card in the front of the book to download next year’s site data set (you will need a decent Wi-fi connection)

Your son could simply text the number to you!! I never bother with the books as there is far more information on the App and it’s much easier to find the information. The app does NOT need internet access in order function so your navigator can search for a suitable site whilst you are driving!

Andy

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, it’s in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with

I don't think there is any problem finding the sites..................most of them are on last years books anyway. The issue is having the discount card...........many sites will match the ACSI off season price but many will not and it can be a big difference.

I would never deal directly with ACSI again as they promise a lot on the phone but just don't deliver............3 replacement sets of books were supposedly sent to our campsite in Sicily in January but none arrived. Lots of people were having orders delivered from Vicarious and eventually we contacted them and everything arrived in about a week.Would always use Vicarious in future.

There is no reason that the 2018 discount card could not be available at any time................I would pay the full price of the books just for the card and then search on line for sites. Or get the card in advance and the books delivered at their leisure sans card. They have a pathetic business model supported only by their monopoly position.

Vicarious will send it all to a campsite if you know where you might be for a while...........................certain Spanish campsites do sell the books/card and I believe they were listed on here not so long ago.

Or get a someone to just put the card in an air mail envelope.

Oh and please contact ACSI and ask them why they can't sell you the 2018 discount card in advance.................of course at a price. The more people contact them asking for this the more likely they are to change. Of course if you have a monopoly position do they care ????????

As I said in the first post, I would be obliged if folks could just let me know when their card arrives.

Thanks

For interest Graham, although I realise you just want to know when people get their books direct from ACSI

Posted on another site far far away that some people have received their books from Vicarious today.Beats me how they can deliver them before the original company.

Oh and this was a link to sites where they may be available in Spain

ACSI on sale
