Game of thrones , fantastic

The film series is great

But the books are so much better

I've only read a couple of pages yet, but first impressions are good.

The thing I remember most about Hendon Training School was the urgent need for a hammer and nails. Anything that wasn't nailed down was nicked as soon as you turned your back!!

They say, "Set one to catch one" don't they!!

Based on Barry's OP I bought and downloaded the book

I'm a couple of chapters in - past the snake, and the ladder (see what I did there?) and just into the dog handler scenario

I'm loving it - it reminds me so much of my early days as a young squaddie - when all the old sweats are out to make your life as miserable as possible (and theirs as easy as they can...)

The non-stop swearing was a factor then too (probably still is) and I distinctly remember there being only 2 sizes of greatcoat - too large and too small,,,

Barry, they are downloaded on kindle

Can keep up to 10 books opened, then just exchange one for another

Unlike when you buy they are not saved permenantly to ICloud
