Motorhome going

Well, thats it. The N&B is on the forecourt of a local dealer to sell on commission. 6 years and only 25,000 miles and no real use for 3 years.

P, my partner, had a series of brain haemorhages in 2009, and now will not travel in the MH or sleep in it. I kept on hoping.

P has made good recovery but just refuses.

We have a farmhouse in rural Catalonia and he is happy there, so we go as often as we can, but driving down is a 48 hour thing, from here, minimum and even by boat from Portsmouth to Bilbao its still 12 hours driving and that falls on me

So its easyjet or Ryanair from now on.

Not sure what I will do about MHF membership.

I've motorhomed all my life, my dad converted his first split screen VW when I was 3. We had a caravan before that

Its a 2006 Flair 7000i on a Fiat 2.8 JTD chassis with a host of extras

Anyone interested, PM me

Sad day

Yes sad day for you although as you say pointless keeping it if you don't use it.

Best luck with your future plans and it would be good to see you remain a member as you have contributed greatly to the forum, especially your knowledge from a legal standpoint.

Sorry to hear that news John. I hope it all works out well for you. I would be sorry to see you leave MHF, don't think owning a motorhome is really a prerequisite for membership so maybe you will stay on.

Good luck with the sale, Alan.

Sad news. It is sometimes a new chapter in life when we have to make alternative choices.

On the flip side you will be able to enjoy queuing at airports and the joy of being only a few hours from your destintion.

All teh best to you both

Dave p

Sorry to hear that news,I suppose it is something that is guaranteed to happen to all motorhomers eventually, when we are no longer fit enough to do it or personal circumstanced change.

I hope you remain on the forum as there are lots of non motorhome topics discussed on here, good luck with your future plans.

cheers Steve

Sorry to read about your situation, hear the disapointment in your words.however being together whichever way is always the way to go.
Like has been said already if you find it possible to stay on MHF even if only to keep some of us sane.
good luck.

Good luck to you and your partner. Maybe P will change his mind, but feeling secure in one's health is the main thing. The good recovery is something to feel so happy about.

Rural Catalonia doesn't sound so bad!

Why not keep in touch with MHF, if only for friendship and support? Sounds like you've made mant friends here, we've only been members for just over a year, but happy to keep in touch.

Don't be sad you've got each other, and that's what's important

Life circumstances change and we have no control over it

Hope you both continue to enjoy Catalonia

If you can stay on MHF you have many friends and your expertise is so appreciated

All the best to you both
