I think more info is necessary Ward. Vehicle, year, type of pump, on demand or microswitch, etc.

If it continues running there are two immediate possible causes;

1. There is a leak somewhere, our dump valve for the freshwater system just failed causing the dumping of 120 litres in a couple of hours through effectively, the open valve under the middle of the MH - unseen unless you crawl under... Remedy; buy and fit a new one.

2. The pressure switch has failed and it is keeping it on. Remedy, ? Probably a new pump where the switch is located. Of course if your system is mucroswith rather than pressure operated that will not apply - if that type then one of the switches has failed in one of the taps.

Do let us know what you find.

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

Am I misunderstanding something, surely if the taps are left open the water pump is supposed to work, pump turns off when the taps are shut off.
