Hi everyone !!!

Hello there everyone, my name is Bob (aka Bobbylob) and I hail from sunny Leicestershire.

I woke up one morning about 6 months ago and thought 'I need to see more of the world - life's passing me by', so, without too much ado, I started sorting out my stuff and made ready to embark on a big adventure.

I've decided I want to see Europe, top to bottom, left to right, and do it properly, so all I needed was the means of transport - and I decided a motorhome was the way to go.

So, after a LOT of looking, I've just purchased my 'baby', a Hymer C682CL, secondhand from a lovely family in Nottinghamshire who'd nicknamed it 'The Ark', after it rained constantly for 3 days on their first trip out. As the children had done a lovely coloured graghic on the windscreen in that glass-type stuff (??), I decided to keep the name

I'm a complete beginner and, so, have her camped on the drive while I get to know her - I'm currently sleeping in her too - which is definitely confusing the dog as I leave the house at 11 at night, only to return at 6 in the morning.....

I'm sure I'm gonna ask a lot of daft questions as I get to know her, so please forgive the 'noob', but glad to be here as you all seem such a friendly bunch

Welcome mate, You are in for the ultimate experience, My best advice would be have a few weeks/weekends in her in the Uk and really get to know her and then you will learn all the tricks and traits of this fabulous hobby.

As for Europe it is a vast treasure trove mate, I love it, and you are in for some absolutely fantastic views etc.

Enjoy it, as it never ends.

I am here for a Good Time..........But not for a Long Time.

If You can't laugh and smile.........Life isn't worth Living.

Hi Bobbylob and welcome to this fantastic site.

Like you I decided, life is too short, and also bought a motorhome two years ago (am now on my second). My aim is also to see the whole of Europe, but before that, I decided that we have such a beautiful island ourselves, I need to see the width/bredth of it first, so am still adventuring in the UK.

Good luck, and enjoy, we only ever have one life
