Hello all, advice on Christmas in Scandinavia

Hi guys,

My wife and I are thinking of spending 3 weeks over Christmas and new year somewhere in Scandinavia this year. We have a 4x4 off road prepped VW camper. We are happy to have a mix of wild camping and campsites. Has anyone on here done a similar trip and could recommend routs / areas to visit?

Thanks in advance

Ben

Sounds interesting Ben. I'm afraid I've no contribution to make but interested in the responses.

Welcome to the forum!

Hi Ben.

There is a couple doing a Scandi tour at present, Indie Projects. Theyt video blog a lot of it, sometimes quite interesting. This link will take you to the first one starting in Finland:
. They have a blog too, link in the YouTube info.

Can be a little chilly around Christmas, have been in Central Sweden when it was -25C but also when it was about +5C in the daytime. Motor needs to be prepared, extra strength antifreeze for example. Never run a diesel vehicle in winter, not sure how they fare.
