Flashing dashboard light

Hi, iíve Just purchased an elders riva gold 175 on a 17 plate, having just got it out of storage Iíve noticed a blue flashing light on the dashboard. Being new to the motor home business I am confused by this, I have looked in the handbook but cannot find anything for it. Has anyone else had this light flashing ?

A little more info. would help, such as the chassis base and the position on the dashboard.

I suspect that you mean an Elddis Riva Gold but it is not a vehicle that I am familiar with...

If there is no advice on here, then you could contact the manufacturer and ask their advice;

I hope that might be useful,

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

Possibly part of the alarm system?

My alarm has such a blue light on the dash but if it's flashing, it's alarmed. If it hasn't gone off as you opened the door.... maybe it's not the alarm after all.

I can have the blue light flashing while I'm in the MH, if I set the perimeter alarm only. But it would go off if I open the door.

Elldis ďbuy inĒ all sorts of makes of vehicles which they then build their motorhomes onto. Have you looked in the base vehicles handbook? (Rather than the Elldis one)

The important bit of info needed is what the base vehicle is as itís clearly part of that and not the MH part. Is it a Fiat? Peugeot?, Citroen, Ford, Mercedes, Iveco ? Each have their own base vehicle electrical systems.

Andy

Oh, and welcome to MHF!

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, itís in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with
