£342 + VAT if you please, just to replace a relay.

They do seem to have a good reputation for Elektroblok EBL99 et seq repairs

I have spoken to a firm that supplies them, and they put a huge markup on everything, it also seems like when this particular fuse board became unavailable the price almost doubled for repairs, so I would rather eat my face than give them any money, I hate profiteering companies.

.

I have never heard anyone say anything bad about them before.

The Nord units normally fail when owners add a second leisure battery and the equipment cannot cope with that. A & N Caravans used to repair them but I don't know if they still do since Allan died.

Who do you mean by them please Jim? I mentioned three companies.

there is only one LB in this van, it has had two control panels fail.

A&N have stopped repairing them, I believe they charged a fair price but never used them.

I meant Apuljack. A number of people have praised them for being quick and efficient on various forums.

You are not correct when you say that A & N no longer repair them. They do repair some of them and it seems can repair yours. I have taken this directly from the Nord page on their website.

Since the 31st of January 2020 Nordelettronica have changed its working practise and will now only supply parts and support equipment to registered dealers and manufactures of Motorhome and Touring Caravans. As we are a small repair company and work related to Nordelectronica is less than 10% of our business it is not practical or financially viable to register as a dealer or agency. We just donít comply with the amount of business they require to make this change. Unfortunately, as we canít guarantee the supply of parts and will be unable to return products for refurbishment or upgrade, we will be unable to offer a service for their products. If you have a faulty item, I can only suggest you contact your nearest Motorhome or Touring Caravan agent for your make of vehicle. We can still service the range of NE143 products as they are made by the MeanWell company in China.

You say yours is a 1432 model, which it seems they can repair.

I didn't criticize Apuljacks speed or efficiency only their prices as I know someone who uses them a lot and the prices are getting questionable as is their attitude when you tell them all you need is a simple relay, not just myself but also the people who mend vans every day.

Your take on the A&N website is different to mine Jim, I need to read it again as it's not abundantly clear what they do do, but anyway, we are going to fit a normal VSR as that is basically all they have fitted anyway it's overkill, it need not be so complicated.

Thanks for taking the time to look it up for me Jim, much appreciated.

Come back ZIG all is forgiven.

Come back ZIG all is forgiven.

The last line in the extract from their website looks abundantly clear to me.
