Replace swift 12V charger

Anyone replaced the stock Swift (Lifestyle 590RS) battery charger with a smart charger?
If left on mains hook up the leisure battery boils dry.
I'm replacing with a VRLA AGM
But suspect a more modern charger would be smarter than the stock unit.
Of course the charger also needs to supply 12V to the MH loads when on hookup.

Have a look at Sterling products.

They have been making and supplying combined charger/power units for many years. They are very helpful. https://sterling-power.com

Brexiters. It's your sh1t now. Whatever happens nationally and internationally you own it. I wish you luck. I think you're going to need all you can get and then some. Friday 13th December 2019.

Not Cheap 300 or so for a 30A smart charger.

I'll have a look but it's whatever was stock supplied.

One thing I'm not sure a out is the smart chargers do de sulphide cycles but how does that work if that batteries are on load?
The charger just pumps onto the 12v bus so how can it do maintenance?

No markings on the stock charger. Just a plain vented black box.
