Fiat Carioca 625 Battery Connections

Can anybody help? I have a Fiat Carioca 625 and tried to connect some jump leads to the battery yesterday. The negative terminal is fine but there is some sort of distribution board attached to the positive terminal that prevents the leads from being attached. Does anybody know whether it is OK to remove it (and how to do so) or is there a separate terminal somewhere for attaching jump leads?
Thanks

Is it an X250 or earlier version?
If an X250 there is a connection point for both positive and negative leads of the jump start under the bonnet. If the earlier version then I am not sure.

Many thanks for your reply
Not sure if it's an X250. It's a 2006 - does that help?

Is the battery in the engine compartment or under the cab floor? If under the bonnet see this link;
http://www.fiatforum.com/ducato/2609...tery-fuse.html

You can attach the positive lead of the jump start to the positive common bus bar i.e before the fuses or to the clamp that attaches the plate to the battery if possible.

Thanks - it's under the bonnet and looks just like the image on the link you sent me. Still looks a bit fiddly but I know what I'm trying for now.
Thanks for your help!

Hi, just got my first Carioca (2005) can anyone tell me if there is a TV aerial connection outside for a satellite dish? If so, where is it. Or where is the cable going from the TV cabinet antenna box? Thanks for any help, Gerrit (New Zealand)

Hi and welcome to MHF,

Firstly, an aerial connection would be no use for satellite, secondly, a walk around the outside of the van would tell you if there was one or not, as for the cable you should be able to follow the path from the TV cabinet through the cupboards.
