I haven't got a Sigma, but just had a similar problem with my alarm which was caused by water getting into the sounder/siren and rusting out the small PCB inside it. Source of the problem was the well discussed problem of water getting into the engine compartment and finding its way into the "bell" of the sounder. Worth being the first place to start looking for a fault as it's probably the only part of the alarm system that to some degree is more open to the elements of the weather.
Thanks eddie ill try and find out how to reset it as I have still got the hand book some were , if that fails I will take it back to the firm who fitted it 12 months guarantee on it only had it 6 months thanks also shingi
