How hard can it be?
I have reported your post Kev. Hopefully we'll get an update soon.

But surely the speed of any site can be affected by so many other factors outside the site owners hands?
Not saying the site is not slow at times but our own individual 'ends' can cause loss of speed. Even with my limited 6 mbps the site loads about the same as most others.

No loading problems for me either - I frequently have 8 MHF tabs up at the same time - oooh-errr - perhaps it is me that's slowing others down

Best thing I can do for you is to start fresh. Digging up old tickets and such will cause more confusion on my end then those tickets would be worth, a lot of "is this info still valid" such questions and confirmations.

Device, browser, and ad ons for starters. Any form of adblockers or trackers.

I sort of expected it to be our fault despite quite a few others reporting slowness compared to other forums or websites.

Device= i5 laptop with 8gb RAM usually not much running in the background.
Browser = Chrome
Add ons ???
Adblockers = yes, but not for MHF
Trackers ???

I should add the slowness is not just in getting on to MHF, it is also slow in posting into a thread, opening other threads, in fact, anything even though I have got onto the forum it's all slow.

Cookies etc although inconvenient have been cleaned down I do this once a month on average I have a reminder set up.

At the moment this is the only page I have open it took maybe 5-7 seconds to be populated.

Have you run an Internet Speed Test ? Check your result.
I had the same problem here in New Zealand and result was too many clients on the particular service. Not enough bandwidth to go around.
Changed my service to a Wireless option (using 4G cellular) and now running at 180Mb/s download and 20Mb/s upload. Loading up this forum is very fast indeed.

I've done speed tests, cleared cookies all the usual stuff, but MHF is slow regardless, everything I do on here is slow, opening from emails, opening any thread, posting in a thread etc.

We used to be on 100 Mb/s but unless you are a business it's not required, so we dropped to 50 Mb/s that's fast enough for anything we do.

Add-ons are also called Extensions, and are programs added to your internet browser. If you haven't added any, then you wouldn't have any. Adblocker is a kind of add-on and it's the most common, and the most common one to cause problems, which is why I list it separately.

There is something called a HAR file that might be able to point the techs to what is slowing you down. It's a little complicated, but here is a decent guide for how to get one: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us...roubleshooting
