Angry Old Site. Stopovers Usage Tracking.

Hi All,
On the OLD SITE, I use the Stopovers Usage tracking tool, which I use as a log for my stopovers. Its also interesting to see where other motorhomers stay & go!

Just wondered why members aren't using this? Ideally, it could be moved to the NEW SITE but don't think that will happen.

It's on the Old Site, Resources, dropdown to stopovers usage tracking.

Any comments would be appreciated.. Stay Safe.
Al. sennen523.

I think the reason folk don't use it is half of us can't get in to the old site. Is that bit of it still working?

No chance of getting anything moved over. They've been trying for years to get a functioning rally section and getting no support at all.

Hi Jean,
For a long time I couldn't enter new stopovers, but when I changed my browser on my laptop it now seems perfect.

Personal Aire
Can't get in, so no use to me at all.

There was a great deal of useful material on there and facilities but VS has been unable or unwilling to try to migrate any of it or to facilitate anyone else from doing so.

I would remind everyone that apparently VS does not own the copyright to the aires and stopovers on the old site, it stayed with the previous owner.

Rumour has it that the copyright was sold to Garmin who apparently now have identical material on their satnavs but I suspect much has now changed due to other sources being used. I stress that is only a rumour, it has never been confirmed that I have seen.

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

I'm not at all sure what the stopovers usage tracking is or does.

If it's something that you make use of just for yourself - enjoy!

If it's building a DB for others to use I'd say you probably shouldn't bother as so few can get at it.

It's really good for me as a log of where we've been. For others, maybe useful tips for routes & a map of the Aire, campsite etc. Wish they could get it onto the new site.

As regards to access, for a long time I could enter stopovers but was very slow. Since changing my browser its back to normal.

Al.. Stay Safe All.

Then there is always Google Maps and your 'timeline' which records your movements and stops Al.

Ray.
I do use Google maps, timeline & Google Earth but still like the MHF stopover tool and usually print it off for a hardcopy log, personal preferences I suppose.

Its also handy to see other motorhomers routes & stopovers they use.
