Ads nd data preferences

Are VS trying to dissuade users?

Every single time I click on a new page/topic I get asked about ads and have to click the 'agree' button tried to post a screen shot but can't see how ...copied the text:

They are obliged by law to now offer users the option.
I don't accept any except the few operational ones that are required to operate a site.
Sadly most users simply accept

It comes up on most sites but only once ...not every damn time!

The option on here offers scant choice offered ... more like Hobson's !!

Presumably the automatic ' Message Received' code isn't deactivating the information.
Have also now reported your problem to somewhere in Canada!

PS. It's now Thursday PM so they may not see it until next Monday.....I think that's how they work

hi all

i am now on the ferry to carn

it is a bit choppy but the internet connection is reasonable

the sat nav packed in on the way down to Portsmouth but luckily i have a spare

its a tomtom go 6000 it looks like the memory card has packed in as if i remove it it boots up fully but says it needs a map downloading

if i connect it to the pc without it will allow a map download but the free internet blocks downloads

if i put the sim back in it locks up part way through the boot up

i have just also noticed that at the moment when i write it goes down correctly
recently it has made all the words jumbled up

any ideas

We use these 3rd party cookies to ensure the ads you may see are of relevant interest to you, it should only pop up once for most users.

In your situation you may be seeing it multiple times for a myriad of reasons. If you are blocking cookies on the site, preventing them from being saved, or if you click away from the message are some of the ways you may encounter this issue. The pop up will then go away until you clear your cookies, you log in from a new device, or if you log in on an incognito browser.

If it is popping up on every page load, you may have a corrupted cookie in your session, in which case you should clear cookies and you should see this pop-up once more and then not again once you agree to the terms.

That being said cookies do also naturally expire over a time so you will see it down the road too, but it shouldn't be an every instance issue. If I haven't touched on any reason why you specifically are still seeing the pop-ups, please let me know and I can dig further.
