I have seen the odd one or two, UK Admin tends to respond without posting by doing what is asked/needed - I know when I posted my Brittany ferries discount code BF were FAR from happy and suspended it (I have a new number now), but UK Admin were VERY helpful in editing it out of the posts and where it had been quoted within a very short while of being asked.

Maybe they haven't remembered that you now need to remember two passwords for MHF -your original one for the old site and now the Fort Knox version for the newer pages.....

That is rather taxing simply for a motorhome forum - I don't even have that problem with my bank........ or pension provider or anywhere else...

Obviously MHF is special - and you can work out for yourself what I mean by the word "special"......

Dave

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

I thought I'd seen UK_Admin as a username, obviously not unless they too have got peed off with the state of the forum

I think we need someone a bit more local, hidden ID if need be, but someone on the same time scale as us, so as to be more effective.

It has been suggested several times Kev, but the only response has been along the lines of "No Moderators are needed and when asked the people concerned did not want their identities made public" which seems to me like political double talk;

"we don't have any and they don't want to be identified......."

but I do agree, local assistance is desirable to defuse problems when they do arise and to flag up when attention needs to be paid by those with the power to actually change things.....

I had to report a thread the other day, and sod all has happened, VS seem to be ignorant in the extreme, I don't expect to have an account of action taken, but I would expect an acknowledgement of my report, I want to contact the VS admin in charge of this site, and make a report that way so I at least know they get it.

VS do seem to be very good once they get going, but by heck it does need a big fire under them to promote movement sometimes.

I'm still waiting for an answer regarding how far they will let personal abuse go and hence folks leaving, before they see the need for some moderation...

I have mentioned it several times to no avail!

I think its a crazy way to run a business personally. They allow good folks to leave due to over heated exchanges; they also allow personal insults to be aired willy nilly*. These affect the numbers of members who renew. I cannot think for the life of me why you wouldn't protect one of your revenue streams!

The site needs active members in order to attract advertisers. If numbers fall, revenue falls from membership subs and also presumably from the rates that VS can charge for advertising.

Crazy

Graham

* Obviously we have to exclude Tuggers from this as he is considered fair game

I like to use big words which I don't really understand so it makes me look more photosynthesis!
