I wonder if there would be any mileage in a strictly tech only forum (withing MHF) where everyone knows it's ok to be funny but must stay on topic.

General questions can still go anywhere as they do now, it might help for newbies as they more often than not have a problem that a search engine brought the to us.

It must be off putting to new users asking a question for it to get lost in the diatribe we sometimes get into.

Just sayin.

Nice idea Kev, but could you control yourself to that extent?

I don't think I could, and it wouldn't long before human nature took over again, and we were all having a bit of fun and enjoying each other's virtual company.

I did say you could be funny, just stay loosely on topic, can't be that difficult, we're not giggling teenagers, also if you don't have clue about the problem don't post except maybe to say sorry I can't help to bump it up the page, I used to actively look for unanswered post on old stig otherwise they might drop of the page, and another new member thinks no one cares, it's lees of a problem now no one is posting a dozen joke threads a day, but on a busy day it can take about an hour to disappear forever.

Is Facts a free forum now?

Well, I'm coming back once I can work out how to renew/take out a subscription.

I've been keeping a close eye on several forums over the last few weeks to see which best suits my needs. Each of the ones I looked at were strong in one or more areas but Facts won because it was good enough in all areas. Not so much a 'Jack of all trades', more an essential multi-tool for motorhomers.

Thanks to all those who kept the site going in the difficult months after some of us wandered into the wilderness.

Yeah! Splitter!! Some of us turn up here everyday to post mindless drivel just to keep it going. I wouldnt bother chasing to cough up a subscription just yet.
