Post Downtime update

All,

I wanted to update everyone on the last 24 hours regarding MHF. The conversion and upgrade from PHPNuke is taking much longer than was originally anticipated, and has hit a few technical road blocks during the conversion. We have made the decision to put the site back up on PHPNuke for now, instead of leaving it off line while we sort through the technical issues at hand. A big part of the problem has been the age of the original software MHF was running.

We need to make sure when the site goes online with the new software that the data is transferred and repopulated as seamlessly as possible. We have had several techs working tirelessly on this project both in preparation and overnight, and we plan to reschedule this conversion again once we are able to sort out the last of the conversion related issues and we have a much shorter conversion timeline set.

If you have questions I will do my best to answer them. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience with regards to this and I will keep you updated on when we are able to schedule the conversion again.

Thanks for the update and PLEASE thank the tech team for the hard work they have undoubtedly being put into the effort, I think many of us are well aware that the basis of MHF has been made VERY complex by the addition of add-ons over the years and I really do feel sorry for the people trying hard to un-knit the pattern while maintaining the garment....

I am sure they will crack it eventually, thanks for restoring the forum ftb.

Dave

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

Having done many such system updates over the decades, I appreciate the hard work you will be expending to ensure a seamless conversion. It is never easy and always throws a few curved balls.

Thank you for keeping us informed, and especially thank you for bringing us into the new millenium

HAHA! believe me I tried. I think I sent a half dozen requests via email to have it updated. Once that window went up the site was not under my control.

At least he, as a Canadian, is likely to say zed, not zee.

The Z thing is my stupid US spell check default on this computer.

I will update with that as soon as i know. if there is a day or week that is the worst possible option let me know and I will black it out.

Don't worry about a 'z' there are lots of other words to catch you

WARNING.!!... The above post may contain an opinion

Academia and government artificially select for particular traits, among which is a lack of life experience. This is why it's possible for a person to be exceptionally bright while failing to grasp something as rudimentary as supply and demand.

Intellectuals: All engine, no map.
