Angry L Taylor

We have a 2017 Zefiro 2017 model. Now had x 2 injectors replaced. Trying to claim back the money we had to pay out 433.00 and a holiday aborted .
FORD stating they will pay for our service but not willing to pay out the money we had to pay for injector . The MH has done under 10K miles. We are really unhappy and the issue happened on a very busy road ford are aware of this too .

Anybody on here got any suggestion what we should do . What we would like is the cost refunded for the injector (the MH is out of warranty) but if it had not been lock down the issue would have happened .TIA

Sorry your post seems to have been missed.

I don't know much about engines tho it sounds like that's a part that shouldn't have gone so soon.

However, you say the MH is 2017 and is out of warranty so I'm not quite sure why you would expect parts to be paid for. Your warranty was probably up before covid hit so although mileage since has been restricted, presumably your mileage up till then was normal?

My MH is on a Fiat base and the warranty lasts a couple of years. Sounds to me that Ford are being quite generous in paying for the service. However if it's a part that shouldn't fail on that age of engine it might be worth continuing with the fight.

This will bump your post at least and get other views.

Not sure if you read other posts on Fb, but you may be aware that the 2.0L Adblue Ford engine is very prone to injector failure and eventually all 4 injectors will probably fail. The replacement injectors have been modified and usually seem to sort the problem. If your vehicle is out of warranty it is still worth having a chat to Ford and appealing to their good will. Try Sydney Hewitt, [email protected] and see if he will help. It is down to their discretion, but many seem to have had success.
