Mine the same . new plate also David that plate does look a little iffy. I thought that fitting air bags brought it up to combined axle loads, but I could be wrong.
It might be correct but have you checked it against your V5. If it was not uprated officially DVLA would not have changed V5 to match. V5 need to match plate .

If it was uprated officially because air bags fitted you might be stuck with that weight of 2810kg

Have you checked your V5 doc. As the plate has been changed and if done officially the dvla will have issued a new V5 to match

DVLA will only update the V5 if the registered keeper advises them of the weight change and provides proof e.g letter from SVTech.

In the absence of anything else I think you should assume that the permitted max weights are those originally shown on the plate. It makes no difference anyway if you are looking to increase the permitted weight.

You should find it on your revenue weight about one third down on left hand side of V5 see photo , mine is 3850 As Peter said this will only have changed if an specialist engender had give the previous owner a report for the dvla

From a professional (Police) viewpoint that plate looks exceedingly suspect indeed and, if you get stopped on the road you could be in for a very lengthy conversation with Plodd or DVSA.

Did you purchase the MH from a dealer? If so then I would suggest you pay him a visit and ask him why the plate has clearly been altered.

As others have said any “upgrade”to weights will involve an ADDITIONAL “plate”being supplied to show the increase. The original should NEVER be tampered with.

Just a thought but have you checked around the vehicle for another plate as it is usual for MH manufacturers to fit a secondary plate as the MGW is often increased by them! You will be looking for a stuck on item with the MH manufacturers name on it. That may well be why the V5 doesn’t show a “ Revenue weight” because the supplying dealer, from new, didn’t do their job properly and ensure the vehicle was registered with the (possibly) greater MGVW than that shown on the base vehicle manufacturers plate.

Whatever the reasons that plate needs replacing with a GENUINE item from the manufacturer

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, itís in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with

From what I can gather from information and signs is I suspect the vehicle has been a LHD and converted originally from germany , wipers go from left to right , tyre pressure on passenger door pillar are in german and the only bill in documents with is a bill from a garage in german.
now wondering does this have a bearing on vin plate and there is no manufacturers plate anywhere on the vehicle i can find
