A lot of Moho Drivers are not ex van drivers and treat the engines like glass, NOT a good idea, these engines were made to be thrashed with in an inch of their lives, thrashing it does not have to mean points on your licence just rev it through each gear properly, don't get into top as soon as possible, and just leave it there, use the gearbox fully, a little spirited driving at low speeds would save a lot of problems and clear out a load of rubbish which builds up inside engines

Well, got it home OK this morning. Had a pleasant Coupla nights in Silves actually, even with the worry that the darn thing would start up again as we left for home.
All seemed good when we set off, but after three quarters of an hour...on comes the warning light. Loss of power.
Stop, wait 5 mins, works fine.
20 mins later...same again....
Third time it came back after just 5 mins....
Then stayed off till we got home....
Just contacted my mobile mechanic friend who's coming with his little computer and do a diagnostic...so we'll see.....

We had similar problems with a Ford. The first time it happened we were told it was the EGR, so it was replaced. Then it started again and this time it was "water in the diesel". It became unreliable, going into limp mode and then clearing etc. We also had the steering pulley come off twice. Not funny going round a roundabout. Eventually, we got so fed up with it, after having to be towed 300 miles home, we traded it in. The next owner had similar problems. I think they replaced the ECU.
