Would love to help Jean but all I know about Irun is the cheapest diesel at the Auchan complex.
Put your faith in foreign mechanics. They aren't all clueless.

It's not the mechanics I've had problems with Ray (so far!) it's the management of the services to get this far. Very disjointed, not listening to me re what kind of place to take it to...

It's now Monday morning at Easo Motors which worried me cos the address he gave me was just a dealership. Then he changed it to an industrial estate.

At least it's Ford. But I looked at the reviews - not encouraging.

If I've to wait for parts I could be late meeting the family on the Loire. At the rate I go.

Well, apparently it's the turbo - 300? worth of turbo repair ? I asked will that definitely fix it? He says the computer pointed to that being the trouble and the mechanic can take off a pipe and see it. He said it's clogged and altho it's opening a bit, not as much as it needs to. Hope he knows what he's talking about. So I'll get it back about 6pm. Down in the wee local village/town, already on the café n croissant! Forgot to bring my Kindle ? Also forgot to recharge my on the go charger last night so the café have very kindly plugged it in for me. It's a hot hot day, due to go to 38° At least I have my fridge plugged into electric while it's in. Could do with plugging myself into aircon!

Fingers crossed it stays that way Jean and you enjoy the rest of your travels.

I've taken a couple of nights at a nice wee campsite just in France, at Urrugne. Arrived about 7 last night and by bedtime I'd a couple of washes done, and dried, Me showered n hair washed, bed changed n feeling like a new woman!

I even got round today to lifting the insulated flooring I have down - yes, finally done!

Went for a paddle in the lake with a man made beach, just me and the fish, including at least 3 rather large goldfish.

Hope you filled up at Irun Auchan Jean. Cheapest diesel anywhere.

Ah, with all the stress Ray I'd forgotten that nugget of information.

However I did fill up just before leaving Spain at Behobia in Guipuzcoa. Just under 1.06/l. In France the cheapest I've seen so far is 1.13 and up to 1.19.

So I didn't miss out entirely!
