Could it be a clogged catalytic converter?

I had a Sprintshift a few years ago. They can be (and often are) temperamental beasties at times and faults can be an absolute bloody nightmare to diagnose/fix and there is stuff all, as an owner, you can do to trace/rectify a fault.

My only advice would be (because the battery went flat) to try disconnecting the battery for an hour or so and then reconnecting it. That can sometimes reboot the gearbox control system (a bit like Ctrl-alt-delete on a computer) If that doesnt do it then you are I am afraid in the hands of MB.

DONT whatever you do take it to an MB car dealership, they know nothing about sprintshifts and will take you to the cleaners by fitting all sorts of new parts in an attempt to discover what the fault is due to their ignorance of the gearbox functionality, seek out an MB Commercial garage (dont be tempted to try a none MB garage as they wont have the expertise either), they are well versed in Sprintshift and should be able to sort you out for a lot less than the car dealership will try and shaft you for.

Might be worth having a search on the Sprinter Forum??

Andy

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, itís in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with
