Front indicator bulb

Hi

Hope you can help

My 75yr old step-dad wanted my help replacing front indicator bulb (MOT due)

I have replaced bulbs on countless cars, but it's a 1989 Merc 208d Autotrail and it doesn't seem to be a twist and pull

I know it's can't be that difficult but I wanted to be sure before i start rummaging around, and he isn't capable of doing it himself

thanks in advance

Martin

Sorry too old for me. Perhaps a call to a merc dealer would reveal the answer.

Welcome to the forum.

I've been searching for about an hour and sorry to report I've got nothing.

Could it be the spring circlip type of fitting perhaps more common in older vehicles, you pinch together the ends and it sort of hinges out allowing the bulb to be pulled free, usually with a loose 3 wire power lead.

Take it to Halfrauds and let them sort it out!!

They charge a flat rate fee for such things.

Andy

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, itís in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with
