renault trafic brakes

hi can anyone help i need the tension springs for front calipers they are different than any i can find {made from spring steel rod in a sort off u shape thanks linda

Picture is worth a thousand words.

Do you mean the thin springy item that sits between the piston and the pad itself (to stop them rattling) or the spring clip that secures the rod that holds the pads in the caliper (a bit like an old style Kirby hairgrip bit with one straight side and one bent side)

If itís the former then sometimes a new set of pads will come with a differently shaped shim, it will still do the job though.

Why do you need a new one?? They are not something that breaks or falls off!!
