I have similar problem with a rimor motorhome based on a 2007 Renault master. It has long arm wing mirrors which I need to fold in order to get the car in a garage. Has anyone managed to the two cups on top and bottom. I guess there probably are bolts or nuts which can be loosened in order to free up the mirror movement.
Any additional information would be much appreciated as I don't want to force the mirrors too much and break them.

I would recommend apply white grease (from aerosol can) rather than oil to loosen them (& keep them so)

Personal Aire
A few years ago on a single track road on the NC500 a motorcyclist did not pull in to a passing place and kept coming. Our mirrors made contact. Mine did not fold back and suffered a small crack to the cover. His mirror shattered into a hundred bits.

There is a lesson there for him I think.

We are getting our Renault based MH ready for its first trip around Spain since lockdown so needless to say I had to free up the side mirrors, tried silicon spray this time and with good results. ....don't know how long it will last mind you.

As I'm a dyslexic and I've had two stokes you are going to see spelling/grammar mistakes, so please don't act superior and point them out!
