Seeking comments on this camper.

My daughter in Switzerland has made a deal, not yet closed, to buy this camper: http://www.caravan24.ch/chde/Wohnmob.../detail/23929/

It seems a great one for the money, but I am just wondering if there is anything I should caution her about.

If you have questions about touring, living, driving, etc in Italy message me.

Looks as though it has been used rather than laying around, which in my opinion is a good thing. I take it that it is the twin rear wheel axle,
A reasonable chassis. strongly built body and real wood interior.
If it suits then for say £8k go for it, providing it does drive ok etc.

My only thought is that it is a family size motorhome and I don't see any rear seat belts.

If you are buying it in Switzerland I think you will have to pay VAT and maybe even import duty on top of the purchase price.

Haven't done a translation of the details, but my reading of the spec suggests only 300kg payload (on paper). I would recommend getting it weighed before purchasing - you may find that there's nothing left to play with. If it has got twin rear wheels (looks like it to me also), then it's likely to be able to have a MGW of greater than 3500kg - so may have been downplated.

Translating - Zwillingsräder hinten - means twin rear wheels.

Zulassungs gewicht - plated weight.

If you need further transaltions/clarifications, please don't hesitate to ask.

No longer motorhoming due to illness, but always prepared to help by sharing any experience I may have.

Good point, my daughter is a nut about seat belts so I would be surprised if she hasn't checked into that issue, but I will ask her.

She lives in Switzerland, so I don't know if she has to pay a tax or not.
