Warning light failure

Hi 2019 Fiat Ducato 2.3 (150) had low pressure warning light failure come on, not low oil pressure but that the light had failed. This van has only covered 1850 miles. Checked oil level correct drove home slowly, just been out and started it up no warning lights on?

Somewhat confused by that.
Did the low oil pressure warning light illuminate?
Can't understand your statement "not low oil pressure but that the light had failed"

With a van so new I'd recommend you get it looked at by a Fiat franchise and the fact you've done so recorded with a record held by you, just in case of warranty problems in the future.

Sorry to clarify, this van has a warning light that comes on to tell you that the low oil pressure warning light has failed as against actual low oil pressure two separate systems. Talk about confusing.

Agree with eurajohn, get it checked by a Fiat van dealer (not a car one) and get a written report signed and stamped that they have done such and such to sort the diagnosed problem.

Obviously the big worry is that the oil pressure HAD dropped triggering the initial alarm and potentially damaging the engine. Obviously faults may occur in a new vehicle, is your registered since March or since September 2018 since I think both would have a 2019 registration, even though the base vehicle may be much older....

Remember Jo Cox and what she stood for.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

The van is reg 17/10/2019, it was Built by Burstner in July 18 delivered to the dealers Oct 18 but sold as new 2019 model.
Phoned Fiat camper assist today, they sent an engineer out he plugged his diagnostic computer in no faults shown check the oil pressure, said as the light is not on may be a gremlin in the wiring no point in taking it to a Fiat dealer as no light or fault code. But should it come on again to contact Fiat.

I would STILL take it to a franchised Dealer for checking That way it will be recorded on Fiat’s database of your vehicle so you are covered in the event of any issues in the future.

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, it’s in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with

"Unless it is N writing, it did not happen" an old adage but in these days when lawyers earn money (serious money) from "discussing" liabilities if it is necessary to make a claim, I would be looking for that all important piece of paper, signed and stamped by a Fiat recognised company....

Just in case there is a fault which the gizmology is not set up to recognise at an early stage - it all depends upon how the computer program was set up and what it was programmed to record........

Spoke to Fiat, recorded name date and time of call same advice as the breakdown guy was from a Fiat main agent, driven over 300 miles since no further warning light issues. But to stop and contact them if light comes on again.
