Red face Boxer speedo cable

Ive seen an old thread re the speedo cable and other related items (plastic bits in the gear box etc).

it appears that the same thing has happened to ours but due to the age (and the fact it appears to be a crappy part) they've discontinued it.

Part number is 6123L4 but no-one seems to have one.

any ideas what they did to replace it (or upgrade it to something not quite so crappy).

newbie here so any help appreciated.

Adie.

It would help if you stated year and model.

Don't be silly all the time ask your question.

Putting just the part number alone into Google brought up this page, so might be worth a call http://www.eurocarparts.com/speedo-cables

Bugger, I had hoped that as it picked up on the part number they may have had stock in the system, you could go to a van breakers yard, it's not like something which constantly breaks, Motorhog is good place to start from, you will need full details as they are very computerised and have branches all over the place.
