As a matter of interest I popped into the local Peugeot dealer this afternoon. After explaining the problem the workshop manager said that without stripping it down, of coarse, he couldn't give me a definate quote but he thought at least a thousand quid. Their hourly rate is, sharp intake of breath, £68.00 an hour.

Nick.

A small deed done is better than a great deed planned.

My local Fiat main dealer & MH specialist charges £82 per hour - plus VAT!

I was thinking the same, some local garages charge that sort of figure, the main dealers do have to provide a lot that others don't of course, the special tools alone must run into thousands, not to mention the weekly wage bill, salesmen stood around.

An interesting article here Nick. It's a couple of years old so prices will be a bit out but suggests you could make a saving on the quoted price.
