Propane Gas Bottle

I am presently on CCC site in Keswick. Anyone know where I might pick up a small calor propane bottle 3.5kg/6 kg? Don't want to pay full price from gas supplier and just need one to use as reserve when travelling abroad. Will be heading from here towards Holyhead over next few days.

The nearest tip - armed with a box of biscuits for their morning coffee.

Usually works - that's how I got three for the barbecue. Some won't do it, but many will because it costs them money to dispose of them.

There's also a good few empties on Ebay - maybe one or two en-route for you?

I know they are not propane but I've got 3 full/nearly full Camping Gaz 907 bottles available. Yes you will need to change regulator but at least Camping Gaz is available throughout Europe if you need a refill. I'm just off A55 on your way to Holyhead.

Many thanks for the replies. Paulmold, thanks for the offer but will keep searching for the particular one I want as I already have some C Gaz ones.

We've got 2 6k Flogas propane bottles, 1 empty, 1 full. You are welcome to them free if you want to collect them. We are in Wrexham, north Wales, might be out of your way. PM if you want them.

Rather a large 'No-No', but people still do it.

To fill an LPG cylinder it must have an 80% fill cut-off and safety valve, and most forecourts won't allow bottles to be filled.
