and that is not worth going to, although the views from the area and the drive are nice, but frankly the cave itself is disappointing from memory........ it is about 20 minutes drive from the "back" of Ephesus up into the hills, and that is the main great thing about it....

Dave
nickoff and nickoff like this.

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

Much better pictures than mine Don, thanks. All mind have blooming tourists in them. Grrrrr.

Ray.

The FSA licensed a twice convicted fraudster to handle our life´s savings. Guess what? He robbed us of £750,000. http://raynipper.com

Caves are always a bit of a gamble I find. I couldn't miss the opportunity to visit the one where Zeus was suckled last week though. It was better than most.

Nice pics Don.

We were both bowled over by the abandoned village at Kayakoy when we visited that region with the motorhome in 2012. A very eerie place, a bit like Oradour sur Glane but for differing reasons.

...but not before we Popped in to see you and Maureen in your little holiday haven.

I also seem to remember you had a pretty rough overland trip back to England later on.....

Would love to go back to Turkey in the moho but Judy is not so keen with all the recent goings on.

Don

When I read your thread title I thought 'ruins' was a verb

I am glad I was mistaken.

Mind you when I first misread the thread title, I was not at all sure, I now realise that it says effectively;

"The ruins at Ephesus, Turkey"

I was really not sure how Ephesus had or was ruining Turkey from the title;

"Ephesus ruins Turkey"

I am sure that it does NOT ruin Turkey but is actually a great advantage and attraction for people to visit Turkey....

Maybe it's just me...... but the pictures are superb....

It was not only Dave - see my post(15) above.

I was not a teacher, but another type of paid pedantic.

Anyway Don took it in good spirit, as one would expect
