We are near Pinoso on the border between the Murcia/Alicante regions and being battered by Storm Gloria (?). We haven't got any lying snow on the site but can see there is some in the mountains. The wind, rain and sleet is pretty bad though. Some towns on the coast have taken a severe battering. Waves of 8m have been reported.

Norfolk seems appealing at the moment.

All due to blow over in a few days and return to long sun filled days again though

Yikes - this is not why we are booked on Eurotunnel for next week with a loose plan to head down towards Murcia area 🙀

Hope it improves soon - very soon 🤞🏻

If only I could think of an original, witty signature . . . this is where it would be . . .

Time for a re-think I would think! Perhaps taking a bit longer to travel down through France?

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, it’s in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with

We took a day trip to the Almeria region that we are so fond of today and it was much warmer and dryer. By the time we got back the rain had stopped! Still a bit chilly but we can cope with that

Still raining up here near Vinaros, but it'll pass soon. We've had rain for over 48 hours now, sometimes very heavy. I haven't seen that here before.

Brexiters. It's your sh1t now. Whatever happens nationally and internationally you own it. I wish you luck. I think you're going to need all you can get and then some. Friday 13th December 2019.

It has to rain sometimes or we would all die. I just wish it would do it quietly

Yes, we could easily make the journey down through France take a fortnight if we choose to - but I’m confident that the weather will be back to “normal” for southern Spain in February by the time we get there. I’m much less certain about when we will get there though. Our route planning is guided more by the weather forecast than most other considerations these days.
Long may it continue to be so

Regards,
John
