Learning Spanish CD's

As we go down to Spain each winter now we would like to learn some more Spanish. I have enough to 'get by' but would like to add to my vocabulary.

As we drive down across France we have plenty of time in the MH cab so I thought some CDs would be a great way of learning some en route...(or en camino (?), so to speak).

Has anyone else done this and if so could you please recommend some CD's that I can buy?

Thanks

Graham

I'd recommend downloading Coffee Break Spanish which is available free. Burn CDs or play from a stick. It's better than any of the bought courses I've come across.

I am listening to episode 1 lesson 1 and it does sound really useful, cheers,

Any ideas how do I go about downloading them? I right click but can't see anything obvious...

They used to be on iTunes as free files Graham. I'll have a look for them now.

It looks as though you have to pay for them now Graham. It started out free but I can see that it's a big effort for the to do it for nothing.

DuoLingo is free and also very good but there are no downloads on it.

I have the first 80 or so lessons and could put them on a stick and post them to you if that would help.

Why is it that, when I try to speak Spanish, my schoolgirl French keeps coming out of my mouth!?

I have tried them all and the best by a considerable margin is https://www.languagetransfer.org/complete-spanish
and incredibly its free. Similar to Michel Thomas but much slicker, more content, better teacher and pupil.

Others are;

Michel Thomas
Paul Noble
Pimmsleur
Rocket Spanish
Learning Spanish Like Crazy
Drivetime Spanish
NotesinSpanish
Coffee Break Spanish
Lightspeed Spanish

Just reread your post and if you can speak the basics then you might find the lightspeedspanish podcasts good. The dynamic of the married couple teaching and chatting is very entertaining

Having just listened to the first three lessons from Language Transfer I'd agree that it does seem to be by far the best course I've heard.

If you can download that Graham I'd go for it. I'd expect learning using that to be much faster and easier than from any other course I know of. I wonder if it can be downloaded?
