In Calpe, many MH's just park up for free on the road two back from the Salinas (the road that is one further back than the one that the Calpe Mar campsite is on). But obviously it's "park" only not "camp" there, ie no chairs tables awnings etc out, no ramps etc.

I'm not sure there is room to put out chairs and awning and ours is supposedly a big pitch

Commanding two E extra

So E14 plus extra for elec above a small amount

15e a night on ASCI

Unlimited elc

Space

We arrived in the dark so maybe this is indeed an oasis

A crowded one

Aldra - strongly suggest you move to the Camping Calpe Mar site which is less than 1km from where you are - brilliant facilities and they do ACSI rates. Pitches are small as it ain't a countryside site, but very good nonetheless. Nemmie, the chap who runs it, speaks perfect English, as does his assistant Yvonne.

We've moved to a bigger " big " pitch

The main reason for spending a few days is to spend some time with Bigtree and Lil

It's not a brilliant area for the H from H though

We have found a beach he is allowed on but the tide was right in so we will try tomorrow

The other campers are a very friendly bunch

We will be moving on in a few days
To be fair we haven't explored calpe

Maybe tomorrow

Consider the extra facilities you get over and above the average aire. May not be what you want, but they are there.
