Camping Alkmaar

Just a note for any folks looking to stay at this site. Its well positioned for buses into the town and a supermarket is around 10-15 walk from the site.

However if you are staying on the ASCI card make sure to insist upon your free showers. The site charges €0.50 per shower per person when it should be free under the terms of the ACSI membership.

The manager there will not mention anything to you when you turn up so you have to ask.

I suspect that they make a considerable amount of dosh from ACSI card holders who use the place but then pay for the showers.

The site enjoys the benefits of ACSI membership but should thereby adhere to the conditions of that membership imho.

On a similar note does anyone have an email address for ACSI btw?

I think you are supposed to use their customer service page.

I've tried it a few times and never received any response

Ted.
I try and state simple facts in a nice way.

I have tried filling out their contact form so we'll see.

Im not too worried about a response but dont want to see fellow campers getting ripped off!
