I'll go there then -- not!

So perusing the map, I picked another nice mountain village to visit next year . Nice little campsite there in an orchard, where we can leave the motorhome , go out on the scooter and visit a wolf place , lots of little mountain roads to explore , ancient chapel etc Then I googled it on youtube ---aaah!

ps Looks like I'll definitely be going next year, been to the doc today , he said 'all the little annoying symptoms that you are experiencing at the minute are pretty much par for the course, just get on wi' it' . So I will.

Mercantour I think. Blimey! Looks grim.

They often get stuff like that down that corner of France.

Good do see you sounding positive about a future adventure Alan. Onwards and upwards. Wont be long now. Maybe we will start to see some planning threads in the new year.

Yep, get on with it

Itís looking good

Seven years ago Albert was diagnosed with melanoma, deep already assumed to have entered his lymph and bloodstream ripe tor spreading, chances were not good

And true he has had had countless ops for metastasis, always in the arm of the primary cancer,

Iíve buried him countless times

But heís still here and has had prostate and bowel cancer in between

This guy is a hazard

Attracts cancer as moth to a candle

But cancer care is magnificent and we are so grateful to the care he has had

Keep in there and next year you will be travelling again

Maybe we will too

Hello Barry , I know you enjoy scooter outings too . One of the reasons I wanted to go to that region - the Col de Turini, thought you might like it too. If you skip this cycling video to 3.48 to 4.02 mins in you'll see the lovely little chapel on the hill with the waterfall behind it . Lovely.

And so will yours

So lucky to live at this time

The miracle of cancer treatment

Some yes donít make it but more do than donít

And cancer teaches us much, things we didnít choose to know, but life is not interested in what we choose to know

Only what is

Iīm so pleased to hear your doctors visit was so encouraging Alan, now you can start some real planning with confidence.

Tell me something, how much of the French language do you people who go there so often speak? I know 3 words, Bonjour, Merci and Au revoir and I would be alone so what chances do I have if I need shopping

Looks amazing. You are going to enjoy that next scooter ride up whatever mountain you find better than you ever could have imagined I reckon and deservedly so and I cant wait to see the pics an vids.

We have still managed to clock up over 2000 miles this year even through the pandemic on the scooter mainly at home. Even now after an entire spring and summer I am still discovering new routes. you would love it here. Its not the Alps or the Pyrenees but as far as England goes its as near as you will get. Ive been trying to buy a monster scooter all summer or a bigger bike but so far nothings been suitable. We had a long ride out a Honda Silverwing 600cc but Michelle didnt like the raised rear seat. Went like the clappers though.
